Anyone Can Garden

Discover how you can garden too. Becoming a gardener was never what I anticipated doing with my life, but now that I am here, I cannot imagine doing anything else. I've always spent as much time outside, including creating and maintaining my own gardens as much as a I can. My professional experience began in 2020 when the world became quieter and I realized, like many others, I needed a career change. Green Mountain Gardening was created and I jump into gardening with a few tools from my shed, no formal education and a small crossover SUV. I often stuffed my dog, my child, and my tools into that small SUV and spent the days gardening for whoever would hire me. I was exhausted after 6 hours each day and wasn't sure if I was ever going to stop hurting pretty much everywhere on my body.

But like with anything you put your mind to and stick with, it has become easier and I've collected advice on tools to make jobs simpler, tricks to make your gardening experience fun, and reliable resources to enhance your gardening skills. I devour all things gardening, and completed the UVM Master Gardener course in 2023. In just 5 seasons, Green Mountain Gardening has grown from a one-woman show with less then 20 clients to a team of 6 +/- people and nearly 100 clients serviced seasonally. Just like the gardens we maintain, Green Mountain Gardening is growing each year and with that, the knowledge and passion that we have and want to share.
